Our Projects.

Over the course of the campaign we have hosted many different informational, educational and fun events, ranging from massive public meetings to fracking film nights. We intend to continue this and hope to expand further in the future so we can offer more public, community events like the ones mentioned.

Direct Action training

This is something we have been looking to hold for a while, a direct action workshop, with professionals coming in and giving us tips and information on how to hold safe, effective and ultimately disruptive direct action to either buy us time, or prevent fracking from happening.

If you're interested in becoming involved, or wish to attend this workshop then please feel free to contact us and we will provide any information we have on it and hopefully we can host it soon enough.

Not For Shale

Another project we're looking to kick start is Don't Frack the Briggs - Not for Shale signs, which would entail members of the group buying signs quite like the for sale signs, but altered to say Don't Frack the Briggs, Not for Shale and putting them up in their gardens. Whilst also raising the profile of the group, it'll also go some way to raise awareness of the issue of fracking too. If people are going and putting up signs in their gardens, it must be important. We feel this would also foster a community spirit by having the community participate too.

If you're interested in getting involved in this protest then please feel free to contact us and we will arrange what we can.

Petition E. Dunbartonshire Council

Finally, whilst the moritorum is still in place, we cannot be 100% sure that fracking will be completely halted by the Scottish Government. This is why we are trying to gather as many signatures as possible on our petition to all levels of government, to ensure that once this moritorum is over we can show that we are still against fracking and won't rest until it is banned outright.

If you're interested in signing this petition or getting involved then please don't hesiste to contact us and we will see what we can do for you.
